MANILA — According to a survey released by the OCTA Research Group yesterday, President Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte got high trust and satisfaction ratings.
Results of the Oct. 23 to 27 “Tugon ng Masa” survey showed that 86 percent of the respondents trust the country’s top two officials, with only four percent saying they distrust them and the remaining 10 percent undecided.
Marcos obtained the highest trust rating among those in Mindanao at 92 percent, followed by those in the Visayas at 87 percent, Balance Luzon at 84 percent and Metro Manila at 82 percent.
Duterte received a trust rating of 98 percent among respondents in Mindanao, followed by 87 percent in the Visayas, 83 percent in Metro Manila and 81 percent in the rest of Luzon.
Both officials obtained highest trust rating among those in socio-economic class E, with Marcos getting 90 percent and Duterte with 92 percent.
The President received 87 percent trust rating among class D and 78 percent among class ABC. The Vice President received 86 percent among class D and 85 percent among class ABC.
Asked about their opinion on the performance of the country’s top officials, 78 percent said they were satisfied with Marcos, with five percent saying they were dissatisfied and 18 percent undecided.
Duterte obtained a slightly higher satisfaction rating at 80 percent, with four percent dissatisfied and 16 percent undecided.
Satisfaction with Marcos was highest among those in Mindanao at 85 percent, followed by those in the Visayas at 81 percent, Metro Manila at 75 percent and the rest of Luzon at 87 percent.
Some 96 percent of respondents from Mindanao were satisfied with Duterte, followed by those in the Visayas at 83 percent, Metro Manila at 79 percent and the rest of Luzon at 71 percent.
Satisfaction with Marcos was highest among those in class D at 79 percent, followed by those in class E at 77 percent and class ABC at 67 percent.
Duterte’s satisfaction rating was also highest among those in class D at 81 percent, closely followed by those in class E at 80 percent and class ABC at 75 percent.
The survey, which has a margin of error of +/- three percent, was non-commissioned and conducted independently using face-to-face interviews of 1,200 respondents, according to OCTA.
