MANILA – The Department of Education (DepEd) cautioned the public about a fraudulent organization circulating fake scholarship offers online. These scammers are exploiting the agency’s seal and utilizing a photo of Vice President Sara Duterte, who also holds the position of Education secretary.
Through an advisory released on Monday, the department advised parents to refrain from divulging any information about their children to these deceptive individuals.
“Parents and guardians are strongly advised not to give out their children’s school information and identification to these kinds of hideous posts so as not to compromise their security,” the DepEd said.
