DSWD launches online registration, licensing of SWDAs

MANILA – Following the relaunching of the enhanced DSWD Regulatory eServices, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announced on Tuesday that the online platform for the registration and licensing of Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs), as well as the accreditation of social welfare development programs and services, are now open.

The enhanced DSWD Regulatory eServices enable SWDAs to submit applications with the documentary requirements and to receive real-time updates on their application status.

In addition, data validations are implemented to reduce the possibility of human error and ensure that only accurate information is kept.

Registration for SWDAs and other service providers is available at https://regulatory.dswd.gov.ph/

DSWD Secretary Erwin T. Tulfo personally navigated the actual online process of registration of a SWDA account to see how the platform works.

Tulfo commended the DSWD Standards Bureau and the Information and Communications Technology Management Service for spearheading the enhancement of the online platform which is part of the efforts of the department in the institutionalization of digitalization in the delivery of social protection programs.

“The enhanced DSWD Regulatory eServices will be used as our centralized database and will help us streamline the process of generating reports, monitoring of status, profiling, and filing of application of Social Welfare and Development Agencies. This is one of our initiatives towards the achievement of digital transformation in the delivery of basic services and in consideration of the national health emergency where physical distancing is highly recommended,” he added.

He likewise lauded and acknowledged the crucial roles of the SWDAs in the delivery of social welfare services to Filipinos.

“You are our partners in bringing the government closer to the people by delivering the much-needed social services to the poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged sectors in our country. Malaki po ang naitutulong at naiaambag po ninyo para maparating po ang serbisyo ng DSWD sa mga kababayan po natin sa mga malalayong lugar, sa mga geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas. We need you (You have contributed a lot so that DSWD services can reach our countrymen in the remote areas, in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas. We need you),” Tulfo said.

By enhancing the DSWD Regulatory eServices, the Department intends to ensure the accuracy of the data and information on the Registration, Licensing and Accreditation (RLA) of SWDAs and to give SWDAs and Non-Government Organizations (NOGs) access to the regulatory services of the Agency through the use of digital platforms.
