Robredo’s Angat Buhay to reopen Bayanihan E-Konsulta

MANILA — Former vice president Leni Robredo’s non-government organization will resume Bayanihan E-Konsulta, the free online medical consultation program she began during her term.

Robredo stated that the Angat Buhay NGO will relaunch the initiative due to the rise in new Covid-19 cases.

The program, she said, requires an initial 50 non-medical and 40 medical volunteers, with the possibility of scaling up depending on the number of requests.

Robredo stated that over 1,100 volunteers have already signed up.

“The spirit of volunteerism is alive and well,” she said in a Twitter post.

Robredo launched Angat Buhay on July 1, a day after her term ended, with the intention of continuing on the initiatives she started as vice president.

In response to the pandemic, Bayanihan E-Konsulta was among the programs launched by the Office of the Vice President under Robredo.
