Palace reveals new set of Marcos appointees in gov’t agencies

MANILA – Malacañang disclosed yesterday the most recent set of appointments made by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in at least 15 government agencies, including the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).

In a Facebook announcement, the PCO revealed that columnist Mario Fetalino Jr. will assume the role of assistant secretary within its office.

Additionally, Marcos appointed Benjamin Albarece and Eliseo Cruz as assistant secretaries in the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Justice, respectively.

Following the recent presidential appointments, Ma. Carissa Coscolluela has been designated as the acting board member of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, while Manjit Tobias Reandi assumes the role of board member for the John Hay Management Corporation, a subsidiary of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority.

Josefina Annabel Bañafa and Wilma Galvante have been appointed as members of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board. Additionally, Rosalio was named as a member of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board in Metro Manila, representing the workers sector.

In another appointment, Elihu Ybañez has been named as the new commissioner of the Presidential Commission on Good Government.

Additionally, new appointments have been made at the Commission on Higher Education, with Jimmy Catanes, Lora Yusi, and Mary Sylvette Gunigundo taking on the roles of Directors IV. Marco Cicero Domingo and Rody Garcia have been appointed as Directors III.

Further additions include Shiela Imperial joining the Department of Agriculture as Director III, alongside Raul Leonin and Vincent Ramos, who will serve as Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officers II.

Other appointees are Ana Liza Duran, who will hold the position of Director IV at the Department of Health, and Aiza Riz Perez-Mendoza, appointed as Director III at the Department of Social Welfare and Development. Adolf Ryan Lantion and Princess May Oral have been named as Directors IV at the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples.

At the Department of Trade and Industry, Marco Maat has been appointed as Director IV, while Luz Galda will serve as Provincial Trade and Industry Officer.

Lastly, the latest round of appointments includes Allen Dalangin, Inocencio Rosario Jr., and Edgar Ybañez, who have all been appointed to the rank of Rear Admiral at the Philippine Coast Guard.
